The Student Creativity Program (PKM) is an annual program established by the Directorate of Student Affairs and Studies under the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristek Dikti) of the Republic of Indonesia to facilitate prospective Indonesian students to learn and develop as well as apply the science and technology learned in education to the general public.
PKM in general aims to prepare student resources that are future-oriented and forged by the transformation of Higher Education so that they become graduates who are superior, competitive, adaptive, flexible, productive, competitive with the Pancasila character, and guide students to become individuals who: 1. Know and obey the rules; 2. Creative and innovative; 3. Objective and cooperative in building intellectual diversity.
PKM-R aims to reveal the causal relationship, action-reaction, design, social behavior, economy, education, health or culture both in experimental and descriptive aspects. Given the different nature and methods of the program, PKM-RE is grouped into PKM-Exact Research (PKM-RE) and Social Humanities (PKM-RSH).
PKM-RE includes research that reveals causal relationships, action-reaction, design, exploration, alternative materials, attractive product designs, blue prints and the like or identification of active chemical compounds. PKM-RSH includes research that reveals cause-and-effect relationships, descriptive research on social, economic, educational, health or cultural behavior of the community both related to local wisdom and contemporary behavior.
PKM-K aims to develop students' understanding and skills in producing unique commodities and pioneering profit-oriented entrepreneurship. However, in this case, it prioritizes the uniqueness and benefits of business commodities (intellectual content) rather than profit. The main actors are students, while the other party is only a supporting factor.
PKM-PM aims to foster student empathy for the problems faced by the community through the application of campus science and technology which is the right solution for problems or community needs that are not profit-oriented. Recommended is a response to a problem submitted by the community and not a student initiative. A Statement of Willingness to Cooperate between the Applicant and the prospective partner community is required. If the partner community is a community group (not the village or hamlet government), then the one who is signed as a partner is not the village head or RT/RW but the group that will benefit from the program. The letter is included in the attachment to the proposal.
PKM-PI aims to open students' science and technology insights to the problems faced by the business world (micro businesses to large companies) or profit-oriented communities such as midwives who have maternity clinics, farmers, fishermen, herbal medicine traders, pedicab drivers and others. Implemented science and technology solutions must respond to priority issues submitted by potential partners. PKM-PI requires a Statement of Willingness to Cooperate between the Applicant and potential Partners. The letter is included in the attachment to the proposal.
PKM-KC aims to form the ability of students to create something new and functional on the basis of their will and reason. The copyrighted work may not provide direct benefit to other parties. PKM-KC does not imitate existing products both at home and abroad, except modifying its principles and/or functions.
PKM-GFK aims to motivate student participation in managing their imagination, perception and reasoning, thinking about futuristic but constructive governance as an effort to achieve SDGs goals in Indonesia as well as solutions to the concerns of the Indonesian nation.
PKM-AI aims to give students experience in producing scientific papers. This is a scientific article writing program that is sourced from the results of other academic activities in the fields of education, research or community service (eg case studies, field practices, Community Service Program, PKM, internships) which are the result of group work.
PKM-GT aims to increase students' imagination power in responding to the challenges of the times, generally in the form of the concept of change and/or development from various aspects of the nation, futuristic, long term, but has the potential to be realized.
